Agency on Aging offers online programs, events in February

Staying well allows us to live better lives. Through group classes, informational sessions and events, the Aroostook Agency on Aging staff and volunteers share topics and techniques that are intended to help all people age well.

Fort Kent Festival of Trees fundraiser exceeds expectations

The first Fort Kent Festival of Trees sponsored by the Fort Kent Lions Club was more successful than organizers imagined.

Hundreds brave snow storm to attend Madawaska Holiday celebration

The snow was flying Friday evening during a storm that blanketed Aroostook County but that did not stop hundreds of community members from sharing their holiday spirit at a festive parade and tree lighting celebration in Madawaska.

Fort Kent Craft Fair proves successful in return to familiar format

Between a COVID-19 upswing in northern Maine and a poorly timed winter storm that dumped 7 inches of snow over Fort Kent, the Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber of Commerce’s 41st annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair saw less participation than usual, but proved successful nonetheless.

Eagle Lake non-profit distributes 350 free Thanksgiving meals

All Things Become New of Eagle Lake provided 350 free Thanksgiving meals this year to anyone who wanted them.

Festival of Trees to include displays from throughout County

Maxine LaJoie of Team SuperFrog is a seven-year tree sponsor at St. Apollonia Dental Clinic's Festival of Trees. Each year she and her friends and grandchildren display a large collection of newborn baby items with their tree, donated each year in loving memory of LaJoie's husband,

Holiday Craft Fair returning to Fort Kent

Snow has yet to stick to the ground in the St. John Valley but the Christmas season is fast approaching and with it the Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber of Commerce 41st annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair.
