Yard Sale
Members of the Stockholm Historical Society will be holding a yard sale at the Stockholm Museum on Sunday, May 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sandra Hara, vice president of the group, encourages everyone to come browse their tables filled with all types of treasures, while waiting for the canoes and kayaks participating in the annual Madawaska River Run, to cross the finish line under the bridge.
Proceeds from the yard sale will benefit the Stockholm Museum fuel/building fund.
Priest re-assignment
Bishop Richard J. Malone, of the Roman Catholic Diocese, Portland has announced that Fr. Aaron Damboise, currently serving at the Precious Blood Parish in Caribou, has been appointed as parochial vicar at Prince of Peace Parish, Lewiston effective July 2.
