Caribou — Herbie F. Corbin, 64, died May 28, 2011, at his residence following a long battle with cancer. He was born in Caribou February 10, 1947, the son of the late Frank and Anita (Godin) Corbin. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and served as past Grand Knight of the Fred V. Brescia Council 1870 Knights of Columbus. Herbie was employed by Potato Service, Pepsi, Wal-Mart as well as the Bangor Daily News. Herbie loved to spend time with his family and had a passion for John Deere tractors. He had an infectious laugh that could make anyone smile, and he could be often found drinking his favorite coffee at Tim Hortons. He married Nancy Espling September 15, 1972.
Surviving in addition to his wife of over 38 years, Nancy of Caribou are one daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Mark King of Caribou; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Melissa Corbin of Easton; a sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Glen Hoel of Limestone; two brothers and sisters-in- law Dana and Cheryl Corbin and Steven and Gina Corbin all of Caribou; three grandsons, Jonathan, Logan and Brandon; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Corbin was predeceased by a brother, Francis.
