Caribou BPW to host Monte Carlo night

    Members of the Caribou Business and Professional Women’s Club have been collecting donations from area businesses to be used as auction items for the group’s  annual Monte Carlo Night. The event will be held Friday, September 19, at the American Legion Post 15 hall on Sweden Street., beginning at 6 p.m. Games will continue until 10 p.m. when the auction will commence.  “Texas Hold’em” will start at 6:15 p.m. sharp. All other games of chance can be joined at any time during the evening.

    A raffle will also be held during the evening for a print donated by BPW member Carol Worchester. Proceeds from the print raffle will be donated to the Caribou Pet Rescue, with all other proceeds from the evening’s Monte Carlo games will be donated to the Battered Women’s Project and the BPW scholarship fund.
    Featured auction items include everything from a Harley Davidson tee-shirt, an oil change, hair products, a last will, snowshoes and coffee to a New Holland Tractor and an American Flag, donated by Senator Susan Collins which will be flown over the Capitol Building on a date selected by the winner in honor a an individual or group also named by the winner of the flag.
    Hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries will be available as well as beverages.
