Wednesday, June 8

CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP – Online, 12-1 p.m., hosted by Aroostook Agency on Aging. Share feelings, make friends and learn from others traveling a similar path. FMI: Call 764-3396, 1-800-439-1789 or email info@aroostookaging.org.

THE GATHERING PLACE – Online, 10-11 a.m., hosted by Aroostook Agency on Aging and AgingME. Safe space for those with chronic health conditions or memory loss to interact with others. FMI: 764-3396/1-800-439-1789 or email info@aroostookaging.org.

 

Thursday, June 9

FORT KENT FOOD DISTRIBUTION – The regular Senior Commodity Food Program distribution takes place from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Fort Kent Senior Citizen Center at 20 Pine Street. To enroll in  this program, please contact the Aroostook Agency on Aging at 764-3396/1-800-439-1789. 

VAN BUREN FOOD DISTRIBUTION – The regular Senior Commodity Food Program distribution takes place from 1-1:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the American Legion at 117 Washington Avenue. To enroll in this  program, please contact the Aroostook Agency on Aging at 764-3396/1-800-439-1789. 

 

Friday, June 10

AA MEETING – Fort Kent, 7 p.m., St. Louis Church, 26 E. Main St.

BIBLE STUDY – Frenchville, 6:30 p.m., home of Nancy Dellagrotta. Bible study on original Christianity. FMI: 543-6619.

 

Saturday, June 11

AA MEETING – Madawaska, 9:30 a.m., 309 St. Thomas St. (building next to Catholic Church, rear door).

 

Monday, June 13

K OF C BINGO – Fort Kent, 6-9 p.m. at K of C Hall, 372 Frenchville Rd. Masks will be required. Members of the same family living together can sit next to each other. All others need to follow the 6 foot distance.

 

Tuesday, June 14

ACADIAN VILLAGE OPENING – Van Buren’s Acadian Village will open for the summer season at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, with a Mass celebrated in French by Fr. Jacques Lapointe, followed by a chicken stew and ployes meal.  Food served until supply runs out.  Meal: $10/adults, $5/children through age 12.
