Wildcats take middle school track championships

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Aroostook League Middle School Track and Field Championship took place June 2 at the Presque Isle Middle School. Both the boys and girls Wildcat teams won the championship. 

Three girls finished in the top 10 for individual scores. Keira Tompkins came in second place with 32.5 points, Jayden Harvell came in third place with 28 points, and Cassidy Carlisle was seventh with 16.5 points.

For the boys top 10 individual scores, Jack Lamoreau finished in third place with 29 points, Brent Greenlaw was fourth with 24.5 points, and Ben Willey finished fifth with 22. There was a three-way tie for seventh place. Dylan Maple, Daniel White and Eli Mosher all scored 14.5 points.

Overall standings for the girls were Presque Isle 129.50, Greater Houlton Christian Academy 106, Valley Rivers Middle School 81, Caribou 41, Woodland 6.5, and Fort Fairfield 4. On the boys side Presque Isle 151, Caribou 121, Valley Rivers Middle School 45, Woodland 31, Fort Fairfield Middle School 10, and Greater Houlton Christian Academy 6.
