Maine State Police Troop F Report, June 7-13, 2021

HOULTON, Maine — The Maine State Police Troop F barracks in Houlton responded to a number of calls for service during the period of June 7-13, including the following.

Thursday, June 10

NEW LIMERICK — Tr. Cotton took a report from a contractor that a trailer of his was stolen from a construction site in New Limerick.  The trailer had been parked while work was being conducted and [the trailer] contained a variety of hand and power tools.  Leads have been developed in the case and the investigation is ongoing.

Friday, June 11

HOULTON — Tr. Cotton located and arrested a local woman on an outstanding warrant for her arrest for failing to appear.  The woman was located as Tr. Cotton was conducting interviews on a theft case that had occurred in the area.  She was arrested without incident and transported to the Aroostook County Jail.

NASHVILLE PLANTATION — Tr. Curtin took a theft report from a residence in Nashville Plt.  The victim reported she purchased an item online using PayPal.  After making the purchase she noticed a separate charge of $217 with a phone number next to the purchase.  She called the number and gave access to her PayPal as well as her banking information.  The suspects also asked her to purchase Apple and Google Play cards in exchange for them taking care of the charge.  Tr. Curtin gave the victim some resources for her and also advised her to contact PayPal about the activity to see if they could reverse the transaction.  The investigation is ongoing.

Sunday, June 13

LINNEUS — Tr. Sylvia was called to the Ruth Road in Linneus for a report of a burglary of a motor vehicle.  The break-in was believed to have occurred within the past day or two and the case remains under investigation. 

NEW LIMERICK — Tr. Sylvia was called to the French Road in New Limerick for a report of a residential burglary.  The homeowner reported the residence was ransacked and many items were missing.  The case remains under investigation. 

MORO PLANTATION — Tr. Saucier took a report of criminal mischief at a camp in Moro Plt.  The camp owner reported their garden tractor was smashed into their camp gate, causing damage to the tractor.  The case remains under investigation.
