Fort Kent sweeps Shires in boys, girls tennis matches

HOULTON, Maine — The visiting Fort Kent Warrior tennis teams made quick work of the host Shiretowners in a doubleheader tennis match Saturday in Houlton.

Both the Fort Kent boys and girls picked up a pair of 4-1 victories over Houlton on the day. 

The individual girls results from the first match, with Fort Kent players listed first were, in singles: Anah Albert beat Raegan Perfitt, 8-1; Julia Cyr defeated Natalie DeLucca, 8-5; and Fort Kent forfeited to Dina Koretsky.

In doubles, Mallory Sirius and Mia Voisine bested Hillary Peabody and Haley Quint, 8-1; and Logan Stedt and Shelby Theriault beat Alex Collins and Mariah Peterson, 8-2.

In the second girls match of the day, the individual results were, in singles: Anah Albert beat Natalie DeLucca, 8-0; Julia Cyr bested Dina Koretsky, 8-0; and both teams forfeited third singles.

In doubles, Mallory Sirius and Mia Voisine beat Hillary Peabody and Haley Quint, 8-1; and Logan Stedt and Shelby Theriault defeated Cindy Hannigan and Riley Sylvain, 8-5.

The individual boys results from the first match, with Fort Kent players listed first, were: in singles, Sam Albert beat Jadon Gentle, 8-1; Dylan Hebert bested Caleb Solomon, 8-0; and Fort Kent forfeited to Gage Bartlett.

In doubles, Colby Theriault and Logan Levesque beat Konnor Lynds and Jackson Cullen, 8-6; and Nate Voisine and Oliver Caron bested Bradley Bean and Brody McLaughlin, 8-0.

In the second boys match, Sam Albert beat Jadon Gentle, 8-4; Dylan Hebert bested Caleb Solomon, 8-1; and Fort Kent forfeited to Gage Bartlett.

In doubles, Colby Theriault and Logan Levesque defeated Konnor Lynds and Landon Dirusso, 8-4; and Nate Voisine and Oliver Caron beat Nicholas Hardy and Kohl Skehan, 8-1.
