Credit union names scholarship recipients

FORT KENT, Maine — For three Maine college freshmen, paying for education just got a little easier. Acadia Federal Credit Union named Cassidy Beaulieu, Sarah Masterson and Jacob Jandreau as the 2019 recipients of the Acadia FCU Scholarship.

Recipients were selected based on a written essay, grade point average, personal and academic achievements and financial need.

Scholarship earners will each receive $2,000 toward their education, with $1,000 awarded after the first semester of their first year and the second $1,000 installment payable after the second semester of their second year.

“It is our great pleasure to reward these deserving students with the Acadia FCU scholarship,” said Alison Voisine, Acadia FCU’s marketing manager. “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all three and wish them the very best in their future endeavors.”
