Recently we shared a letter explaining the unfortunate “surprise” issue with our new building project. A very expensive sprinkler system got added at the last minute to our budget.

Ark Animal Sanctuary – Week of December 20, 2023
For weeks we have seen this cat on our cameras out in the bitter cold. For weeks we have left food out for her. She would come twice a day most every day. She would appear on the cameras at 3 in the morning and then at different times during the day and always disappear into the trailer park across the road. It was clear that she was not being taken care of or fed.

PAWS Pet of the Week – Brownie
This long, lean and handsome kitty was a stray. His green eyes demand your attention as do his unique markings. Brownie has many features of an Abyssinian, with the muscular build and wild look almost as if he just wandered in from the jungle.

Ark Animal Sanctuary – Week of November 29, 2023
The past few weeks we have once again rearranged the sanctuary trying to utilize every square inch of space. We have had large crates donated to accommodate the influx of cats. We are now officially out of space.

Final 2023 clinics
December 8, 9 and 10 will be the last chances for feline spay/neuter clinics for 2023. The clinics will be hosted by Halfway Home Pet Rescue and will take place in Caribou at the old Broadway Electric Building, 40 Broadway Street, near Hogan Tire.

Ark Animal Sanctuary – Week of November 15, 2023
As we brace ourselves for the holiday season and the cold winter months, the phone does not stop ringing. There are people wanting to surrender their pets, strays being picked up and brought to the sanctuary, kittens being pulled out of Dumpsters, people moving and leaving their pets behind.
