3-day Outlook: Wednesday, March 1-Friday, March 3
A trough of low pressure moving across the Valley will slide east today with high pressure building in from the west late today. Another low pressure system moves east from the Great Lakes tonight and moves through Thursday producing another round of snow early Thursday into Thursday afternoon. Snow showers are expected Thursday night with decreasing clouds by Friday morning. Gusty northwest winds develop as high pressure builds into the region Friday.
Daily Summary
Today: Snow likely before 11am, then scattered snow showers between 11am and 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. South wind 5 to 7 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tonight: A slight chance of snow after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 15. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Thursday: Snow, mainly after 11am. High near 32. East wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Thursday Night: Snow before 10pm, then snow showers likely, mainly between 10pm and 5am. Low around 13. Northeast wind 6 to 11 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 22. Northwest wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 2. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph.

Partly cloudy skies Saturday morning give way to partly sunny skies Saturday afternoon as an area of low pressure tracks south of Cape Cod out to sea. Snowfall from this system looks to be confined to southwestern portions of Maine. High pressure to the north builds into the Valley Sunday and Monday with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Low pressure to the east retrogrades towards the region Tuesday with a slight chance for snow showers across the SJV.
