After 34 years of dedicated service, NorState FCU CEO Whitehead retires

NorState Federal Credit Union and its Board of Directors announces the retirement of President/Chief Executive Officer Susan G. Whitehead. During her 34 years with NorState FCU, Whitehead has held various positions and has spent the last nine years as president/CEO.

She was hired in April of 1988 as the utility clerk and worked diligently throughout her career at NorState FCU to ensure that the members and staff were her key objectives. That hard work led to her appointment to president/CEO in 2013 after the retirement of David Rossignol. With them appointment also came the honor of being the first female CEO is NorState’s history.

“Sue has always kept our members’ evolving needs as her highest priority,” says Dr. David Mitchell, NorState FCU Board director.

NorState FCU Board of Directors Chairman Leigh Smith, stated, “Sue’s time in service to our credit union has brought a wealth of institutional knowledge and has been a key component in my ability to serve the CU well. I wish her a relaxing and restful future.”

“In my 34 years of service to NorState FCU, I have been honored to work with many devoted and dedicated financial professionals throughout the state and within our organization. It has been a journey of learning, development, and member service that I will forever cherish,” stated Whitehead.

Board of Director Raymond Marquis included, “For all that you have accomplished at NorState FCU, we thank you Sue.”
