Knights of Columbus hosted penalty kick soccer competition

On Saturday, Sept. 24, the Knights of Columbus Council 7920 hosted a penalty kick soccer competition — sponsored by the Supreme Council and hosted nation-wide by councils if they choose to do so.

Youth ages 9-14 were invited to showcase their soccer skills in this shootout competition. They get 15 shots on goal from a specific distance from the goal. The goal is divided into five different sections and each has varied point values. Hanna Martin was the winner for the age 9-11 group and Cayden Nicols was the winner for the age 12-14 age group. From here, they will compete at the county level for a chance to compete at the state level. (Courtesy of Knights of Columbus Council 7920)
