Senior College program on potato harvests

FORT KENT, Maine – St. John Valley Senior College is offering a session on “The Theriault Farm Experience” with Bob, Duane, and Cody. Attendees will view a year-long video production, filmed in 2021, that looks at potato farming in Northern Aroostook County.

You will watch and listen to Cody Theriault’s detailed commentary on planting right up-to marketing and, everything in between. Participants will then have the opportunity to question Bob, Duane, and Cody.

If you have experiences and memories of “potato harvests” gone by, you will be surprised by the scientific and technological advances made in the farming industry. You don’t want to miss this one.

This event will take place on Sunday, April 10 at 1 p.m. in the UMFK Nadeau Hall Teleconference Room.

This is the fifth of 11 activities provided by the St. John Valley Senior College which are offered now through the first week of June.

Senior College is a program designed for people who are over 50 years of age, like to remain active and have a keen interest in learning. They offer classes, workshops, and field trips with a goal of making learning fun while not having to worry about homework, exams, or grades.
