St. John Valley Weather, Feb. 23-March 1, 2022
Three-day outlook: Wednesday-Friday
An area of low pressure and trailing cold front will cross the Valley this morning and move offshore tonight. Some lingering snow showers are possible this morning with a greater chance this afternoon along and ahead of the front, including some possible snow squalls in south-central portions of the County.
High pressure over the northern Plains will build east into the region Wednesday afternoon through Thursday with another blast of cold, dry air with highs in the 10s above and overnight lows Thursday night in the 10s below zero across northern Maine. Flash freezing on area roadways will be possible Wednesday afternoon as temperatures rapidly fall below freezing in the afternoon and into the low single digits overnight.
High pressure to the north is expected to keep a low pressure system moving offshore from the Mid-Atlantic well south of the state with cloudy skies and some afternoon snow expected for the SJV with most snowfall from this system occurring along the coast. Clouds decrease overnight Friday night as the system moves away.

Four- to seven-day outlook: Saturday-Tuesday
High pressure builds across the area Saturday with cold, dry conditions. A cold front approaches from the west Sunday with increased cloudiness and a slight chance for isolated snow showers Sunday and Sunday night. High pressure over the Northern Plains builds in Monday to Tuesday with continued cold temperatures and dry conditions for the Saint John Valley.
