Some snow, will ride -- Snowmobile trails in northern Maine have snow, and riders have been out cautiously riding on many of the frozen lakes and trails, like this rider passing through Soldier Pond over the weekend. Information posted on the Maine Snowmobiling Association website from various clubs around the state reveals that in southern and central parts of the Maine trails are either bare or have insufficient snow for riding. However, trails in the western mountains and northern Maine have been getting consistent snow and low temperatures, although not all clubs have reported enough yet for grooming. Trails are being described as “good”.
