A parade of vehicles decked out with colorful Christmas lights and other holiday-styled decorations will begin at Subway on Main Street at 5 p.m. and proceed to the Farmers Market in the old Kmart parking lot.

There at around 6 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will oversee the lighting of the town Christmas tree.

Madawaska Middle/High School Project Graduation students will sell hot cocoa and wintry snacks.

The annual celebration is sponsored by the Madawaska Beautification Committee.

A cautious looking Santa observes surrounding traffic as he rides an ATV in the Madawaska Light Parade on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018.
