Acadia FCU names 2021 scholarship recipients

For three Maine college freshmen, paying for education just got a little easier. Acadia Federal Credit Union named Victoria Andrews, Caleb Bassett, and Gabrielle Martin as the 2021 recipients of the Acadia FCU Scholarship.

Recipients were selected based on a written essay, grade point average, personal and academic achievements, and financial need.

“As colleges across the state of Maine are starting their academic year, it thrills us to know that we are playing an active role in helping to finance these deserving students with the Acadia FCU scholarship,” said Jill Bouchard Cairns, Acadia FCU’s chief relationship Officer. “We wish these three very deserving students nothing but the best with their first year of college!”

Andrews is a 2021 graduate of Bangor High School and plans to attend the University of Maine at Orono to study nursing. She is the daughter of Phil and Dawn Andrews.

Bassett is a 2021 graduate of Madawaska High School and plans to attend the University of Maine Orono to study finance. He is the son of Jay Beaulieu and Michelle Bassett.
