Police arrest Fort Kent man wanted for multiple outstanding warrants

FORT KENT, Maine — A Fort Kent man who allegedly gave chase to an officer attempting to arrest him for multiple outstanding criminal warrants was ultimately apprehended on Friday, May 28.

Fort Kent police received a tip that afternoon that Jason Faggiole, 38, who the department knew to have nine outstanding criminal warrants, was on Main Street.

Officer Jack Maloney responded to the call at around 5 p.m. that day. Faggiole allegedly fled from the officer, resulting in a foot chase.

Faggiole’s warrants were based on multiple charges of theft, as well as failure to appear in court, violation of bail conditions, violation of conditions of release and operating a motor vehicle while a license was suspended or revoked.

Maloney ultimately apprehended Faggiole, arrested him and charged him with refusing to submit to arrest, and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

Faggiole was transported to Aroostook County Jail.

He will appear Monday, July 19, at Fort Kent District Court.
