SJV Weather for April 7 – 13, 2021

Low pressure south of Nova Scotia and its associated upper-level low pressure area will continue to draw moisture over the area aloft keeping plenty of clouds as well as a chance for some scattered showers through the afternoon. 

Tonight, clouds decrease as the low moves further away and high pressure to the northwest begins to push into the region along with an upper-level ridge shifting to the east. Partly sunny daytime and partly cloudy nighttime skies are expected through Friday night.

Wednesday, April 7

Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance for rain showers. Precipitation totals less than 1/10-inch. High around 55 degrees  with north winds 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday night, partly cloudy with a low near 36 degrees F. Chance for precipitation 5 percent. North winds 0 to 5 mph.

Thursday, April 8

Partly sunny with a high around 58 degrees F. Chance for precipitation 5 percent. North winds 0 to 5 mph.

Thursday night, cloudy with a low around 36 degrees F. Chance for precipitation 5 percent. North/ winds near calm.

Friday, April 9
Partly sunny to partly cloudy with a high around 61 degrees F. Chance for precipitation 5 percent. North/northeast winds 0 to 5 mph.

Friday night, partly cloudy with low near 36 degrees  and north/northeast winds 0 to 5 mph.

Medium Range Outlook: Saturday – Tuesday
An upper-level ridge is expected to remain across the eastern US through the weekend with nearly stationary upper-level low pressure areas to the west and east. Partly cloudy and mild conditions are expected Saturday and Sunday with some increased cloudiness Monday and Tuesday with a chance for some isolated precipitation as a low pressure area in the Maritimes tracks westward towards the SJV early next week.

Partly sunny with a 10 percent chance for showers. High around 54 degrees  with northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Monday night, partly cloudy with a 10 percent chance for rain showers. Low near 37 degrees  with northeast winds 0 to 5 mph.

Tuesday, April 13

Partly sunny with a 10 percent chance for showers. High near 54 degrees with northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday night, partly cloudy with 20 percent chance for showers. Low around 36 degrees  with northeast winds 0 to 5 mph.
