Grand Jury hands up 15 indictments for December

CARIBOU, Maine — A Fort Kent woman who led police on a high-speed chase through the Madawaska Lake area, reaching speeds of 105 miles per hour, was among 15 people indicted by the Aroostook County Grand Jury in December.

Britteny N. Finley, 32, was charged with multiple offenses following the Oct. 12 incident in which she reportedly refused to stop for police, leading to a seven and a half mile chase that ended when her vehicle went off the road. The woman then fled the area on foot.

She was later apprehended following a second high-speed chase with police in the Presque Isle area.

Finley was charged with two counts of eluding police, burglary, four counts of theft, three counts of criminal speeding, two counts of driving to endanger, four counts of violating a condition of release, two counts of operating without a license, two counts of refusing to submit to arrest, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

Other December indictments were:

Allan Ferrara, 32, of Caribou, domestic violence assault, violating condition of release.

Timothy Demoura, 24, of Presque Isle, aggravated assault, obstructing the report of a crime.  

Tiffany M. Hyson, 33, of Madawaska, unlawful trafficking, unlawful furnishing. 

Scott A. Ozio, 47, of Caribou, unlawful trafficking, unlawful furnishing (2 counts), operating after suspension, violating condition of release and criminal forfeiture.

Veronica R. Lopez, 29, of Caribou, unlawful trafficking, unlawful furnishing (2 counts), violating condition of release, criminal forfeiture.

Gene N. Charette Jr., 40, of Madawaska, violating condition of release, contact. 

Colter B. Cross, 33, of Caribou, operating after license revocation. 

Jacob C. Hagy, 26, of Houlton, aggravated assault. 

Keighan A. Robichaud Griffin, 25, of Fort Fairfield, unlawful possession, aggravated trafficking. 

Benjamin R. Cheney, 37, of E. Plantation, aggravated assault. 

Eric M. Condon, 33, of Easton, possession of firearm by a prohibited person, burglary, theft, criminal mischief, violating condition of release (2 counts).

Napoleon Herbert III, 30, of Washburn, domestic violence criminal threatening, domestic violence assault, criminal trespass.

Derick L. Clark, 38, of Blaine, domestic violence criminal threatening, domestic violence assault.

Joshua M. Haffod, 25, of Wallagrass, domestic violence assault (2 counts), criminal mischief, refusing to submit to arrest, violating condition of release.
