Fort Kent

NorState Holiday Coloring Contest winners

NorState Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that McKenna Jandreau, 7, of Fort Kent was the lucky recipient of a giant Christmas stocking because of her coloring entry during NorState’s Holiday Coloring Contest.

Santa’s elves delivered the stocking full of fun games, toys and teddy bears to NorState for their contest, so one lucky youth full of Christmas spirit would win. Jandreau entered her coloring page for consideration, a traditional red and green rendition.

“Her buffalo plaid Christmas stocking in the artwork was unique and on point, added NorState’s Executive Marketing Director Denise Duperré. “This caught the eye of many judges.”

The contest was open to the public through Dec. 21 for youth aged 5 to 12 and over 149 entries were received at all NorState branches, some entries from artists as young as 3.

Second place, a $25 Visa gift card, went to Lucy Hartuigsen, 12 of Madawaska.

Third place, a $10 Visa gift card, went to Ryker Greenier of St. David for his use of two abstract colors.

Winners and honorable mentions are on display at the Madawaska branch office lobby bulletin boards until the New Year.
