Fort Kent man escapes injury in rollover crash on way to work
FORT KENT, Maine — A Fort Kent man traveling to his logging job early Tuesday morning escaped injury when his pickup truck rolled over on Route 161.
Fort Kent police responded to the call about the crash at 2:30 a.m.
Joey Guimond, 23, was operating a 2019 Ford pick-up westbound on Route 161, also known as St. John Road, when he lost control of the vehicle.
Guimond failed to negotiate a curve and the pickup left the roadway and rolled over, landing on its side.
Guimond was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
Slippery road conditions caused the crash, according to Fort Kent Police Chief Tom Pelletier.
The pickup, registered to Guimond Logging of Fort Kent, received extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Twin’s Service Station.
