Tech N Trenz celebrates new location in Fort Kent

FORT KENT, Maine — A Main Street family business moved to a new storefront just down the road to make more room for growing inventory.

“Our decision to move was due to the need for more space,” said Karen Kidney at the ceremony. “We were expanding our brands and our inventory and we needed the space. We almost doubled in space.”

Karen and Julian Kidney opened Tech N Trenz  in 2016 in the Main Street building that also houses the China Garden restaurant. The new location is at 204 W. Main Street in the former Sears building.

The business offers name-brand clothing for men and women, footwear for men, women and children, fashion accessories as well as computer, phone and tablet repairs.

Close family members gathered with the Kidneys and their two children Tuesday for a Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new location.

“We want to thank the community,” Karen Kidney added. “We wouldn’t be here four years later without the community.”
