Warrior girls achieve senior night victory over Presque Isle

FORT KENT, Maine — The Fort Kent Community High School girls varsity soccer team secured a senior night victory with a 4-1 win over the Presque Isle Wildcats Tuesday, Sept. 29.

The Warriors, the defending Class C North Regional Champions who took home the gold ball in 2018, received two goals each from seniors Sydney Philbrook and Gabby Martin. Martin also registered an assist as did her teammate Morgan Cyr. 

Jenna Sargent scored the lone goal for Presque Isle, assisted by Karlyn Gilmour.

Fort Kent goalkeeper Lyndsay Ouellette saved 9 on 11 shots. For the Wildcats. Raegan Libby saved 14 of 24 shots.

Prior to the game, the senior Warrior girls and their parents were recognized in a rose ceremony:  Sydney Philbrook, daughter of Josh and Tamar Philbrook; Gabby Martin, daughter of Taylor and Stacy Martin;  Shaylee Jandreau, daughter of Shon and Crystal Jandreau; Lyndsay Ouellette, daughter of Kevin and Luann Ouellette and Lacy Pelletier, daughter of Ken and Jamie Pelletier.
