Madawaska selectmen to meet Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020

MADWASKA, Maine — The Madawaska Board of Selectmen will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Madawaska High School library.


Chairman Doug Cyr will call the meeting to order and establish a quorum.

Article 3 To Consider Other Business and Adjustments to the Agenda. 

Article 4 To Consider Board of Selectmen Meeting Minutes of July 28, August 4, August 17, August 27, and the Joint Meeting Minutes of the Board & Finance Committee of August 11, August 12, August 19, and September 2, 2020. 

Article 5 To Consider the Treasurer’s Warrants. 

Article 6 To Consider a Request by Samantha Thomas, Girls Scout Troop 161 Member to Install a Silver Award Food Cupboard on Town Property. 

Article 7 To Consider Liquor License Renewals for Big Rick’s Burger & Wings, and the Long Lake Country Club. 

Article 8 To Consider the Appointments of Three Board of Appeals Members. 

Article 9 To Consider a Catering Permit for Big Rick’s Burgers and Wings. 

Article 10 To Consider a Quitclaim Deed for Tax Account 1882, Tax Map 28B-Lot 16. 

Article 11 To Consider a Public Works Dept. Request to Transfer Funds from the Capital Purchases Reserve Account to Repair the Furnace Systems at the Public Works Facilities. 

Article 12 To Consider a Request by the Madawaska Water District for a Water line Easement on Town Owned Property on Tax Map 1, Book 428 Page 218, Request to be placed on the Town Meeting Warrant. 

Article 13 To Consider a Request by Mark Cyr to Purchase an Undeveloped Street Known as Cannan Street, Town Meeting Authorization Required to Dispose the Property. 

Article 14 To Consider the Madawaska Public Library Budget. 

Article 15 To Consider an Article for the Town Meeting Warrant to Release Sewer Line Easements at: 170 Main Street on Tax Map 5 Lot 161,93 Vital Drive on Tax Map 5 Lot 162, 91. Vital Drive on Tax Map 5 Lot 162, and on Property located on Tax Map 5 Lot 164, all in Madawaska Maine. 

Article 16 To Consider the Adoption of the 2020-2021 General Assistance Appendices A-H. 

Article 17 To Consider the 2021 Town Roads Paving Project.
