Fort Kent man arrested on domestic violence charge
FORT KENT, Maine — A Fort Kent man was arrested Monday, Aug. 24, after a caller reported an alleged assault at a residence in the town.
Fort Kent police responded to the call at 1 a.m. on Monday. A woman at the residence told police that Paul Langenbach, 40, had assaulted her. Langenbach was not at the scene when police arrived.
At about 11:40 a.m. on Monday police located Langenbach at the Riverside Park area in Fort Kent. Police charged Langenbach with domestic violence assault, a Class C felony. Langenbach was transported to Aroostook County Jail in Houlton.
The woman declined medical treatment for minor injuries, according to Fort Kent Police Chief Tom Pelletier.
Langenbach will appear Monday, Oct. 5, at Fort Kent District Court.
