Man arrested in alleged assault with a loader

FORT KENT, Maine — A Fort Kent man who allegedly attempted to run down two people with a Bobcat Skid Steer was arrested recently on multiple charges.

Dale Morin, 52, was arrested on July 16 by Fort Kent Police Chief Tom Pelletier and Officer Cole Pelletier on a warrant issued based on an incident that allegedly took place a week earlier.
On Thursday, July 9, at around 11:30 p.m. Morin allegedly operated the loader which was carrying an ATV on the front of the machine and attempted to run into and cause harm to two individuals on South Perley Brook Road, according to Chief Pelletier.
Pelletier did not discuss further details on the incident.
Police arrested and charged Morin with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault.
Morin was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond pending an appearance at Fort Kent District Court.
