Frenchville begins bridgework that will end near Thanksgiving

FRENCHVILLE, Maine — The Maine Department of Transportation contracted with Ed Pelletier and Sons Co. to begin work on a culvert under the Gagnon Brook Bridge in Frenchville Monday. 

 

The bridge is on Route 1 over Gagnon Brook in Frenchville. 

“This project area is about a half-mile south of the intersection of Route 1 and Pelletier Avenue,” the MDOT said. 

D drivers should expect a single-lane traffic pattern during the work that will begin July 6 and is expected to be done on Nov. 25, the DOT said. 

Ed Pelletier and Sons Co. received the contract in the amount of $2,960,000.
