Police charge Fort Kent man after refusing to submit to arrest

FORT KENT, Maine — Police arrested a Fort Kent man who allegedly refused to leave a Market Street residence over the weekend.

Fort Kent Officer Cole Pelletier and Maine State Police Trooper Matt Curtin responded to a caller’s report that Ted Zarins, 28, refused to leave the property on Sunday.

The officers asked Zarins to leave the property and he allegedly became combative with the officers.

Police charged Zarins with trespassing and refusing to submit to arrest. He was taken to the Aroostook County Jail.

Zarins will appear Monday, July 6, at Fort Kent District Court.
