SAD 24 school board to meet remotely on May 21

VAN BUREN, Maine — The SAD 24 board of directors will meet at 6  p.m. on Thursday, May 21, remotely via virtual meeting rooms. 

Agenda 

A – To see if the school board will accept the Superintendent’s recommendation to conduct this meeting using Zoom, a web-based video conferencing tool, under 1M.R.S.A. § 403-A, which authorizes the District to hold remote meetings during the state of emergency declared by the Governor due to the outbreak of Covid-19. 

1 – ROLL CALL; 

2- APPROVAL OF MINUTES; 

A – To see if the school board will approve the minutes of the minutes of  the regular/warrant school board meeting of Thursday, May 7, 2020. 

3 – PERSONS DESIRING TO ADDRESS THE BOARD/PUBLIC PARTICIPATION; 

4 – REPORTS OF THE CHAIRMAN; 

5 – UNFINISHED BUSINESS 

6 – NEW BUSINESS; 

A – To see if the school board will approve the Superintendent’s recommendation for H.S. Social Studies teacher. 

B – To see if the school board will approve the Superintendent’s recommendation for CTE Director/Dean of Students, 

C – To see if the school board will approve the Superintendent’s recommendation the following 2020-2021 Co & Extra Curricular Activity positions: Sophomore, Junior and Senior class advisors and Middle & High School Girls & Boys Soccer. 

D – To see if the school board will approve the Superintendent’s recommendation for Grade 7 teacher.
