Edmundston announces dates of bulk trash pickup

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick — Citizens of Edmundston should note that the May special garbage collection for bulk items will take place as follows:

  • the week of May 18th in areas where garbage is usually collected on Monday and Tuesday
  • the week of May 25 in areas where garbage is collected on Wednesday and Thursday

According to Gary Cyr, coordinator of the city’s Public Works Department, this collection allows residents to dispose of large items that are not picked up during the regular weekly collection. There is no need to register in advance.

Please note that the quantity should not exceed what could be put in the box of a regular pick-up truck.

Items must be placed at the curb only on the Sunday prior to the special collection date in the designated sector. This will ensure cleanliness along the streets, and will avoid the possibility of trash pickup by other residents during this time of pandemic.

A reminder that construction, demolition or renovation materials will not be picked up.
