Police seek individual who drove through community pavilion

FORT KENT, Maine — Fort Kent police are looking for an individual who reportedly drove a vehicle onto the cement floor of the Lions Pavilion, and spun their tires, leaving black skid marks behind.

The incident took place sometime Wednesday night, May 6.

The outdoor pavilion is the site of wedding receptions, musical entertainment and a variety of other community events.

“It’s sad we have something nice in our town for everybody to use and someone has to do this to it,” said Fort Kent Police Chief Tom Pelletier. “It’s embarrassing to host events there and have marks like that all over the floor. It shows disrespect for our town.”

Anyone with information about the incident should call the Fort Kent Police Department at 207-834-5678.
