Driver escapes serious injury in Fort Kent rollover

FORT KENT, Maine — A 19-year-old Fort Kent man escaped serious injury on Thursday when his pickup rolled over on a downtown road around 9 p.m.

Cameron St. Germain was traveling southbound on Market Street in a 2012 GMC pickup when he lost control of the vehicle causing it to skid into a guardrail and rolling onto its side, said Fort Kent Police Chief Tom Pelletier.

St. Germain, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries and the pickup received substantial damage and was towed from the scene.

St. Germain was driving too fast for conditions, according to Chief Pelletier.
