Senator plans town hall in Fort Kent

FORT KENT, Maine — Sen. Troy Jackson, D-Allagash, will host a town hall forum from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28 at the University of Maine Fort Kent’s Nowland Hall, as part of the weekend activity surrounding the Can-Am Crown International sled dog race.

“I look forward to hearing from constituents and joining in the weekend events that the CAN-AM brings to northern Maine,” Jackson said.

Jackson will welcome Speaker of the House Sara Gideon, D-Freeport, and Assistant Majority Leader Eloise Vitelli, D-Arrowsic, to the town hall, as well as members of the local Aroostook County delegation, Sen. Mike Carpenter, D-Houlton and Rep. John Martin, D-Eagle Lake. 

All are welcome to attend. No RSVP is required. Legislators will offer brief remarks followed by questions from the audience.
