Police charge Fort Kent woman with criminal mischief

FORT KENT, Maine — Police charged a Fort Kent woman with criminal mischief after she allegedly caused $500 worth of damage to a vehicle belonging to another woman.


Sgt. Dalen Bouchard of the Fort Kent Police Department responded at 1 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, to a caller’s complaint that someone damaged the windshield and windshield wipers of a 2007 Pontiac passenger car parked at a residence on South Perley Brook Road.

After investigating the incident, Bouchard charged Kylee Rubin, 24, of Fort Kent with criminal mischief.

The vehicle, which is owned by Heather Hafford, received approximately $500 worth of damage, Fort Kent Police Chief Tom Pelletier said.

Rubin is scheduled to appear Monday, March 2, at Fort Kent District Court.
