Caribou Viking wrestlers defeat Fort Kent in 65-18 victory

CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou Viking wrestlers secured an impressive 65-18 victory during Wednesday’s match against the Fort Kent Warriors at Caribou High School. 

 

For the Vikings, Ethan Edgecomb in the 106 class, Rylee Saucier in the 120 class, Lillian Haskell in the 132 class, William Fuller in the 138 class, Thomas O’Meara in the 152 class, Mia Thibodeau in the 160 class, Seth Lister in the 182 class, Kaden DeMerchant in the 195 class, Jacob Smart in the 220 class and Nikolas Hatfield in the 285 class all received six points each due to forfeits. 

In the 145 pound class, Viking wrestler Angel Riopelle received five points in a match against Larry Nadeau due to a technical fall. 

For the Warriors, in the 113 weight class, Jaren Hartt received six points on a fall from Devin Wright. In the 170 weight class, Lucas Theriault of the Fort Kent team also received six points for a fall on Matthew McCormack. Daigle Lance, in the 126 pound weight class of the Fort Kent team, received six points due to forfeit.
