Chamber seeks Citizen of the Year nominations

FORT KENT, Maine — The Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its 2019 Citizen of the Year award.

The subcommittee is asking the public to submit nominees who have been most significant in contributing to the growth and development of the towns that are serviced by the Greater Fort
Kent Area Chamber of Commerce. Other criteria include a person who is at least 45 years of age, has made an important impact on the lives of the area people, has demonstrated continuous service in a variety of service levels and has not received any personal monetary gain from their efforts.

All nominations must be returned to the chamber office in Fort Kent or postmarked no later than Friday, December 6, 2019.

A committee consisting of past award recipients will select the person they feel best fits the criteria. The Citizen of the Year award will be presented at the Greater Fort Kent Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner on January 31, 2020.
