Levesque named president of Federation of Education Councils of NB
EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick — Robert Levesque, professor and head of the Sector of Education and Kinesiology at the University of Moncton, Edmundston Campus (UMCE), was appointed president of the Federation of Education Councils of New Brunswick (FCÉNB) during the annual general meeting of the organization, held Nov. 8-10 under the theme “Stopping the misconceptions about mental health of our students.”
Levesque is a member of the Council of the Northwest District scolaire francophone education. The FCÉNB is a flagship organization of the Francophone school governance in New Brunswick. It supports the DEC so they can play the role of primary responsibility for the Francophone school management. DACs act as spokespersons in provincial records relevant to the advancement of the cause of education.
The FCÉNB wants to become the leader in the development of Acadian and Francophone society where language and culture are celebrated, and where the interests and rights of the francophone New Brunswick community are respected.
