Pelletier Ford fundraiser nets $6,000 for Fort Kent athletics

FORT KENT, Maine — The latest Ford Drive 4 UR School Event fundraiser resulted in a $6,000 gain for student athletes at Fort Kent Community High School and Valley Rivers Middle School.

Pelletier Ford hosted the event at the Paradis Shop and Save parking lot in Fort Kent on Saturday, Oct. 12, with proceeds benefiting the CHS/VRMS Athletics Booster Club.

The Ford Motor Company donated $20 for each test drive community members participated in during the fundraiser.

“Pelletier Motors supports the booster club because it is a vital program in our community,” said Pelletier Motors owner Steve Pelletier. “Seeing the joy and excitement that these activities bring to the students and the local community makes it all worth it.”

“Pelletier Ford wants to thank all the local people and visitors to the area that supported this event,” Pelletier added. “Taking a few minutes of out of their day to show their support of the Athletic Booster Club was greatly appreciated and we hope to see them all at the next events.”

The next Ford Drive 4 UR School Event Pelletier Ford plans to sponsor will take place in Madawaska next spring and will support school activities in that town.
