PAWS pet of the week – Scully and Winnie

PAWS Animal Welfare Shelter presents Scully and Winnie as Pets of the Week in hopes that they will find their forever home soon. Scully and Winnie met in fostercare and have fallen in love.

All-black Scully was trapped in a homeless cat colony in Van Buren and is still getting used to humans. He recovered well after treatment for a dislocated hip and pelvis and a leg fracture, and now there is no stopping him. Besides a slightly odd gait, he is a completely normally kitten and is expected to be able to lead a healthy, regular life. Winnie came into the world in foster care, but at 11 weeks old was diagnosed with a heart murmur. The vet thinks it might be a hole in her heart that will close on its own when she grows older. Winnie is fully enjoying life. Both are neutered/spayed, up to date on vaccinations and cleared of any parasites. To see them, visit Valley Cat Haven during open hours Saturday, 11-1, or Tuesday, 1-3, or call Jean at 207-543-7348 for an appointment.
