Howlers beat Owls 6-0 in girls soccer quarterfinals

HAMPDEN, Maine — The Madawaska Owls (5-10) took a defeat against No. 1 Penobscot Valley Howlers (14-1) Tuesday night in girls soccer at Hampden Academy. 

PVHS’s Lexi Ireland demonstrated her skills by scoring three goals during the game. Emma Buck, Emily St. Cyr and Leine McKechnie all scored a goal each. The team also had five assists with two from Delaney Theriault and Emily St. Cyr and one from Natalie Spencer. 

The Howlers will advance to the semifinals at noon Saturday, Nov. 2, at Hampden Academy against Aroostook.
