Madawaska Board of Selectmen to meet Oct. 15, 2019

MADAWASKA, Maine — The Madawaska Board of Selectmen will meet at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Town Office council chambers.


Chairman Don Chasse will call the meeting to order and establish a quorum.

Article 1 Pledge of Allegiance.

Article 2 To Consider Other Business and Adjustments to the Agenda.

Article 3 Public Participation.

Article 4 To Consider the Treasurers Warrants.

Article 5 To Consider the Board of Selectmen Meeting Minutes of September 16, 2019.

Article 6 To Consider a Liquor License Renewal Application for Big Rick’s Burgers & Wings LLC.

Article 7 To Approve a Transfer from the Pollution Control Fund to the Sewer Repair & Replacement Reserve Account, an Annual Entry as Required by the 2013 MEDEP CWSRF Program.

Article 8 To Consider a Property Tax & Sewer Tax Abatement for Town Owned Property, RE Account #298, and Sewer Account #20365.

Article 9 To Consider a Sewer Tax Abatement for Town Owned Property, Sewer Account # 10345.

Article 10 To Consider a Sewer Tax Abatement for Town Owned Property, Sewer Account # 20185.

Article 11 To Consider Authorization to Dispose of Tax & Sewer Acquired Properties by Bid, After First Offering to the Property to the Previous Owner as per the Requirements of Article 22 & 23 of the 2019 Annual Town Meeting Warrant.

Article 12 To Consider Options for Hauling Dewatered Sludge from the Pollution Control Facility to the COGERNO Landfill in Green River, NB.

Article 13 To Consider a UDAG Loan Servicing Request.

Article 14 To Consider a National Prescription Opiate Litigation Exclusion Request.

Article 15 To Consider the VRF and NARAA Committee Reports.

Article 16 To Consider a Request by the Madawaska Police Association (MPA) to Abolish the Association to Become a Member of the New England Benevolent Police Association (NEBPA).

Article 17 To Consider a Special Town Meeting Warrant for the Special Election for Two (2) Board of Selectmen Vacancies, one (1) term ending in June 2020, one (1) term ending June 2021.

Article 18 To Consider a Request for a Culvert Crossing Modification at the Dufour Road / Factory Brook Location.

Article 19 To Ratify the Town Manager Contract Extension Approved by the Board of Selectmen at the June 4, 2019 Board of Selectmen Meeting.

Article 20 Public Works Road Projects Report.

Article 21 Town Manager’s Report.
