UMCE to host poetry reading with Laurence Hutchman

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick — Laurence Hutchman, former professor of English at the University of Moncton, Edmundston Campus (UMCE), will be reading poetry, Thursday, October 3 at noon in the agora of APPUMCE, located on the 4th floor Simon-Larouche pavilion. The meeting is open to the public.


Professor UMCE from 1990 to 2013, Laurence Hutchman is from Belfast, Northern Ireland. He taught at several universities, including Concordia University, the University of Alberta, Western University and the University of Moncton.

Author of 11 books of poetry, he is regularly invited to recite his poems during chats or conferences, especially in Ontario where he currently resides. Laurence Hutchman is a member of the League of Canadian Poets.
