Scholarship fund created in memory of Mrs. Jo-Anne Volpé

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick — On May 30, with pride and sadness, the family of Mrs. Jo-Anne Volpé signed a protocol for the creation of the Jo-Anne Volpé Scholarship Fund with St. Louis-Maillet Foundation.


Volpé was a businesswoman very involved in her community and a devoted mother. Its links with the St. Louis-Maillet Foundation back to 1988 where she served for five years on the board, including four years as president. She also gave her time to many other organizations, including the Fair brayonne at the Chamber of Commerce of the Edmundston and women Exchange Network in Madawaska Affairs (REFAM), of which she was the President for two years.

The Fund FSLM Jo-Anne Volpé scholarship was created in his memory and aims at supporting students enrolled in 2nd academic year to a government program areas of business or science at the Edmundston campus of the University Moncton. Beneficiaries must maintain good academic performance and / or be involved in para-academic or community activities.

This new scholarship fund will enable women in the Edmundston region to pursue studies at home and French. Receive financial support is often a big difference for these students.

The St. Louis-Maillet Foundation thanks all donors and all donors who have donated in his memory and to the family for their generosity and their confidence as to the Foundation at the UMCE . The first scholarships will be awarded during the 2020-2021 academic year. Interested students are invited to submit a short application to be eligible for the scholarship. More details to come.
