Undefeated Fort Kent shuts out Central Aroostook in boys baseball

FORT KENT, Maine –– The Fort Kent Community High School Warrior boys baseball team remains undefeated this season after defeating the Central Aroostook Panthers 8-0 on Thursday, May 9.

The win at home brings the Warriors’ record to 8-0.

Starting Warrior pitcher Eden Paradis struck out seven batters and allowed zero runs earned over five innings. Warrior Josh Soucy pitched two innings with three strikeouts and zero runs.

Soucy was also one of the top batters for Fort Kent, with two hits and two runs batted in. Warrior Austin Plourde also had two hits.

Josh Dahl hit a double for Central Aroostook.

The Panthers moved to 3-4 on the season.

The Warriors were scheduled to play again on Friday, May 10, in Ashland, but that game was postponed due to rainy weather and will instead be played in Fort Kent at 4:15 on May 21.

The Warriors will next take on the Presque Isle Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, at Presque Isle.
