The long trip has begun for the Blizzard

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick — The Edmundston Blizzard are currently en route for their longest trip of the season with three games in Nova Scotia in as many games. Ryan Salvis’s squad will face the South Shore Lumberjacks on Thursday, January 10, the Yarmouth Mariners on Friday, and the Valley Wildcats on Saturday. A round trip of about 20 hours and nearly 2,000 km. Fortunately, this only happens once a season…

The Blizzard will play against South Shore (13-11-3-0) for the second time of the season. On October 9, Edmundston son 5-4 on the second day of the MHL Showcase in Pictou County. As for Yarmouth (24-5-1-1), both teams have one win against each other. The Mariners defeated the Blizzard 5-2 in Pictou County on October 8 (MHL Showcase), but Edmundston had his revenge with an 8-5 win on December 15 at the Jean-Daigle Centre.

Friday’s game at the Mariners Centre will be a great reminder to Blizzard veterans who raised the Maritimes Hockey League Championship Trophy on April 24, 2018.

The Blizzard will complete its trip on Saturday by facing for the first time the Valley Wildcats (5-23-3-0) in Berwick.
