UMFK to host co-ed Bengal soccer camp

FORT KENT, Maine — The University of Maine at Fort Kent Athletic Department will offer a week-long day co-ed soccer camp this summer. Registration is open to all entering kindergarten through 12th grade.

Camp will run from Monday, July 9, through Thursday, July 12.   

Daily soccer sessions will be split into age groups, with K-4 in the morning session from 8 to 10 a.m. each day. The cost of the camp is $50 per camper.

Grades 5-8 will be held on Tuesday and Thursday that week from 9 to 11 a.m.; 2 to 3:30 p.m.; and 6 to 8 p.m. The cost of the camp is $70 per camper. Organizers plan to have different activities so children can stay all day long.

Grades 9-12 will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday that week from 9 to 11 a.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

The camp will feature experienced college and high school coaches and players, who will work closely with campers, stressing fundamentals and improvement of skills with in-depth and individualized instruction in a competitive, fun environment. Guest lectures, demonstrations, contests and games will round out the week.
