Police arrest one in meth seizure

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick — Members of the Edmundston Police Force, Patrol, Street Crime and Investigations Section, made an arrest Friday, Jan. 19, following a search of a business in Edmundston.

According to Insp. Alain Lang, operations manager of the Edmundston Police Force, police executed a search warrant Friday at a store on Canada Road in Edmundston, where they arrested a 53-year-old man.

His identity cannot be revealed since he has not yet been formally charged, Lang said in a press release.

During the search, the police seized a quantity of methamphetamine. The 53-year-old was released on bail and will have to appear before a provincial court judge in Edmundston at a later date.
