Obituary – Richard ‘Dick’ Bouchard

FORT KENT, Maine — Richard “Dick” Bouchard, 76, died peacefully surrounded by his family on July 24, 2016, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born in Madawaska, September 17, 1939, the son of Albert and Laurie (Lozier) Bouchard.

Dick served in the US Army from 1961 to 1963. He was a member of the Fort Kent American Legion Martin-Klein Post #0133, a life member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Council #0352 of Fort Kent, the Electrical Association and the Fort Kent Snowmobile Club. Dick was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, spending time in Florida and especially at his camp on Caron Lake in Canada. Dick owned and operated his own electrical business for over 45 years until retiring at the age of 62.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Gladys (Daigle) Bouchard of Fort Kent; four children, Micheal and wife, Karen Bouchard, of Beacon Falls, CT, Duane and wife. Denise Bouchard. of Hartland, VT, Gary and wife, Lorianne Bouchard, of Fort Kent, and Dawn and husband, Doug Cyr, of Fort Kent; two brothers, Raymond and Rita Bouchard of Fort Kent and Robert and his wife Jerry Bouchard of Colorado; one sister, Janice Ransford of Crystal Lake, IL; nine grandchildren: Annalie, Jolie, Morgan, Julia, Dominic, Drew, Maya, Elizabeth and Josh; two great-grandchildren, Emmerson and Abigail; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday, July 29, from 8:30 a.m. until time of service at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be held at a later date in the parish cemetery.
